About Your Trip

For Starters
I’ll meet you at the dock fresh, ready, and motivated to help you have a safe and, hopefully, successful time on the water. I’m driven to help guests catch their first, their biggest, or their most. All my knowledge and experience is available to share with guests. During an action-packed day spent meeting your goals (hopefully), you’ll learn more about:
- Patterns
- Seasonal trends
- Boat control
- Habitat identification - "spots"
- Presentation
- Anything else you want to know – my playbook is open to share
Whether you’re just starting out or have decades of experience, we’ll customize your trip to best suit your experience level and goals.
*100% Catch and Release is practiced. I recommend a replica from Fittante or Lax, or a very cool and very affordable life-sized photo from Customfish.com.
Full Day Trip
Would you feel cheated to spend big money for a guide, only to be limited to eight or ten hours on the water? Would you feel like the meter is running while you’re out? A guide trip shouldn't be run like that. Fish with Enduro Guide Service and you’ll get all you can handle – that’s why the name is Enduro Guide Service. We’ll fish twelve or more hours, pretty much all you can handle, and typically hit three prime times.
1/2 Day or Night Trip
After sunset is when the most exciting and most productive part of the day begins. Trips usually begin in the early evening during daylight, and run into the night. The actual times are flexible depending on sunset, moon rise/set, majors/minors, and your schedule. The time spent fishing usually runs 6-8 hours - that's what some guides consider a full day. You’ll learn enough to go out and do it yourself the following night on Mille Lacs or when you return to your home water. 1/2 Day trips during daylight hours can also be arranged.

Flyfishing
Fly-Rodding for muskies is as exciting as it gets. Flyfishing is seldom the most effective or most efficient way to pursue musky, but a musky on a fly is the biggest adrenaline rush in freshwater angling. Flyfishing is an option for the spot-on-the-spot locations, or when returning to a fish that was located earlier in the day. I have 9 wt. and 10 wt. rods and a box of flies in the boat at all times for anyone who wants to give it a try.
I Provide.....
- Rods, Reels and Tackle – I’ll provide all the gear you’ll need. Top-of-the-line custom rods by Thorne Brothers, and Shimano Calcutta TE, Shimano Trinidad, and Garcia 7000 reels are available for use by all guests. Of course, a mountain of baits are also provided. Rest assured that everything is tip-top - there's no such thing as a 'client-rod' or 'boat-rod' in my boat. Guests fish with the same high-quality gear I use.
- Boat – You’ll fish from a Ranger 620T with Yamaha motor, Minn-Kota troller, and Lowrance electronics with map chips. The boat has a custom-made casting deck extension to offer guests plenty of elbow room at the bow.
- Photos – I’ll share all my digital photos of your catch.
You Bring.....
- Raingear - bring it rain or shine
- Polarized sunglasses
- Current Minnesota fishing license
- Clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather
- Food and beverages - there are also lunch or dinner options on the lake
- Gear – Bring some of your own favorite rods, reels, or tackle if you choose (optional). Call ahead for recommendations.
Weather
We'll fish rain or shine. However, fishing will be suspended for thunder or extreme wind. If a guest is uncomfortable with the conditions we'll head for shore without any discussion. Too, we'll also go to shore if the guide is uncomfortable with the conditions - also without discussion.
